We are delighted to announce the establishment of the “Opy Zouni” Awards at the 9th Art Thessaloniki Fair, which will take place from May 14 to May 17, 2026, at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Center (TIF-HELEXPO), the largest exhibition venue in Greece. For the second consecutive year, on the initiative of the Petros Zounis family, the “Opy Zouni” Award will be presented to three independent artists, accompanied by a monetary prize of €2,000. This award honors the memory and artistic legacy of Opy Zouni (1941–2008), an iconic figure in contemporary art who left an indelible mark on geometric abstraction and constructivism.
Through the “Opy Zouni” Awards, Art Thessaloniki continues to support and highlight artists who boldly and creatively express the language of contemporary visual art. This initiative stands as a tribute to Opy Zouni’s dedication to art and an important step toward strengthening independent artistic creation.
